8 in 10 Americans Fear 2nd Holocaust

Do you think a second Holocaust against Jews is coming?

If you say that just won’t happen, you’d be in the sparse company of about 16 percent of Americans.

That’s because 80.2 percent of the respondents of a new poll said they do fear a time when anti-Semitism around the world will turn violent and there would be deliberate attempts to wipe out Jews.

The results are from polling done on behalf of author Joel C. Rosenberg.

“To me, this is a stunning number. It indicates that Americans do not see the history of the Nazi Holocaust as some kind of ancient history,” he said. “Across the board, Americans of all ages, income groups, ethnic groups, religions, political ideologies and regions of the country are deeply concerned that a ‘Second Holocaust’ may be coming if world leaders do not take decisive action to stop Iran before it is too late.”

He said the question was posed by McLaughlin & Associates, a nationally respected polling firm, to 1,000 likely U.S. voters.

They were asked, “Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: ‘If the world does not take decisive action, and the Iranian regime is permitted to build nuclear weapons and the missiles to deliver them, the Iranian regime will one day attempt to annihilate the state of Israel and bring about a second Holocaust’?”

Only 3.7 percent said they didn’t know, while 80.2 percent said they agree, and 16.1 percent said they disagreed.

The margin of error for the recent polling data was not immediately available. The Obama administration largely has addressed Iran’s stated intent to develop nuclear power with sanctions. Then last year there was an agreement to relieve most of those sanctions in exchange for delays in Iran’s program development.

Israel contends the rogue nation’s nuclear program has one ultimate goal: nuclear weapons. It’s former president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, repeatedly said he wanted to wipe Israel from the face of the map.

Rosenberg previously has addressed issues of the Middle East in his work, with his “Epicenter: A Video Documentary,” talking with many military, government, business and Christian ministry leaders throughout the Middle East, as well as skeptics and critics of evangelical Christian views of the “last days.”

He focuses on the question, “Are we living in the last days?”

He also has written “Implosion,” which addresses the idea that America as an empire is “in decline.”

Financial turmoil, political instability, plunging morality and natural disasters add up to the threat that “history’s greatest democracy” will either “stage a miraculous comeback” or not.

Rosenberg, a New York Times bestselling author of “The Last Jihad,” is a communications strategist based in Washington.

Once a political columnist for World magazine, a front-page Sunday New York Times profile called him a “force in the capital.”

It was the second poll question released by Rosenberg. His first revealed that 72 percent of Americans now view Vladimir Putin and the Russian government as a “clear and present danger to the U.S. and Israel.”

WND has reported in recent weeks on the anti-Semitism surging around the world, with a three-part series that looked at what is going on in Europe and the United States.

The report found that the problem is global in scope.

It was in April when researchers with the European Jewish Congress and Tel Aviv University released a report that documented a massive 30 percent increase in serious anti-Semitic incidents around the world last year.

Linking the ongoing economic turmoil to the sudden rise in anti-Jewish hatred, the report documented 686 incidents in 34 countries – everything from violent attacks on Jews to vandalism of Jewish cemeteries and places of worship. Some 40 percent of the incidents included physical violence.

By comparison, 526 incidents were documented in 2011.

The reports found nowhere is the rise of anti-Semitism more extreme than in the Islamic world.

According to a 2011 Pew Research poll, part of the Global Attitudes Project, Muslim-majority nations harbored overwhelmingly negative attitudes toward Jews.

In Egypt and Jordan, for example, just 2 percent of respondents had a favorable view of Jews.

The Islamic country with the most favorable views toward Jews is Indonesia. But even there, less than 10 percent of the population has a positive attitude.

“In the Middle East it’s definitely getting worse – it’s at crazy proportions,” said Martin Himel, a Canadian film director who recently produced a ground-breaking documentary examining anti-Semitism around the globe.

In Islamic Pakistan, there are essentially no Jewish citizens. The overwhelming majority of Pakistanis have never even met a Jew.

When Himel traveled to the Muslim nation to document anti-Semitism for his film, “Jew Bashing: The New Anti-Semitism,” what he found was profoundly disturbing.

More than a few people, for example, expressed the view that “Jews have taken over America” and “engineered the 9/11 attacks” for the purpose of conquering Afghanistan and Iraq as a prelude to taking over Pakistan, Himel told WND.

“You talk to the average, non-informed Pakistani on the street and ask him what has to be done, and they say, ‘Well, thank God we have nuclear weapons, we’re gonna’ nuke the Jews’; and they’ve never even seen a Jew in their lives,” he said.

The report found the Shiite Iranian regime, despite fundamental disagreements with Saudi Arabia’s Wahhabi rulers over Islamic doctrine, is widely considered one of the most dangerous anti-Semitic forces on the planet.

While a small Jewish remnant remains in Iran, top leaders in Tehran regularly demonize Jews, Judaism, Zionism – and especially Israel, which Iranian leaders openly say they hope to annihilate.

“It has now been some 400 years that a horrendous Zionist clan has been ruling the major world affairs,” declared Ahmadinejad in a speech last year. “And behind the scenes of the major power circles, in political, media, monetary, and banking organizations in the world, they have been the decision-makers.”

Iranian leaders, going all the way to the top, also continue to boast publicly about their plans to destroy the Jewish state.

Last year, for example, Maj. Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi, chief of staff of the Iran’s Armed Forces, declared again that “the Iranian nation is standing for its cause that is the full annihilation of Israel,” echoing past statements by other top officials.

According to the U.S. State Department’s Commission on International Religious Freedom, the tiny Jewish minority in Iran, along with other beleaguered religious minorities, is coming under increasing pressure from authorities.

“Heightened anti-Semitism and repeated Holocaust denials by senior government officials and clerics continue to foster a climate of fear among Iran’s Jewish community,” the U.S. commission said in its latest report. “Physical attacks, harassment, detention, arrests and imprisonment intensified.”

Instead of working to assure Israel that its longtime ally, the United States, will stand by its side, President Obama’s administration members have held meetings with a senior politician in Jerusalem in which the U.S. delegates brought up the possibility of replacing Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister, according to an informed Jerusalem diplomatic source.

The meetings were held with Israel’s popular finance minister, Yair Lapid, founder and leader of the Yesh Atid Party, which became the second-largest party in the Knesset winning 19 seats in the last election.

The diplomatic source said the Obama administration identified Lapid as a moderate who could be helpful in pushing the Israeli government into accepting the framework to create a future Palestinian state.

According to the source, the talks included the possibility of Lapid bolting Netanyahu’s government if the prime minister rejects the U.S.-brokered regional talks.

School To 8-Year-Old: Jesus Is No Hero

Second grade students at Cerro Gordo Elementary School in North Carolina were recently given a fairly common assignment. The kids were asked to think about who they consider to be a hero and begin writing a paper explaining their decision.

When 8-year-old Ryleigh Watts returned to class and informed her teacher who she wanted to honor, however, her mother said she was told to “write about something different.”

Who was the proposed subject of young Ryleigh’s paper? Jesus Christ.

“I think she should have freedom to write about what she wants to write about,” Heather Watts said of her daughter. “If she wants to write about Jesus, she should write about Jesus.”

According to a local NBC affiliate, the school disputes the controversy, explaining “we have learned that students were not restricted from writing on any topic of their choosing.”

The official statement encourages “our parents and guardians to contact or visit their child’s school to address any concerns.”

Ryleigh and her mother, however, are not budging from their original story. Watts met with both the school’s principal and her daughter’s teacher and reports that the situation has not been rectified. The young girl, she confirmed, must still find a new hero for her report.

The ordeal, Watts concluded, amounts to the school trampling on a student’s constitutional rights. Freedom of speech and religion are clearly delineated in the Bill of Rights; and, as she noted, both are being attacked through this assignment.

Obviously, students in school are held to a somewhat stricter standard than Americans in other environments. Rejecting an 8-year-old’s report based only on her admiration of Jesus Christ, however, is objectively discriminatory.

Much to the chagrin of many leftists, there is no basis for schools – or any public place – to ban personal displays of Christianity. Activists across the nation, however, seem to be pursuing that very goal.

In reality, Ryleigh’s choice made much more sense than any other imaginable subject. Christ left a perfect place to lay down his life for all mankind. If ever there was a story of heroism, the Gospel is it.

Unfortunately, today’s morally bankrupt public education system apparently has no room for such a message of love and hope.

Profane rappers like Jay-Z are heralded as role models by this administration, while kids idolize vampires and other monsters brought to life by leftists in Hollywood. Either of these choices, one might assume, would have been enthusiastically embraced by Ryleigh’s teacher.

The Bible Verse That Could Land Scott Walker in a Major Battle With Atheists

An atheist group is demanding that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) remove a Bible verse posted to his social media accounts Sunday, calling it “improper” for a politician to promote personal religious views using “the machinery of the state.”

The Freedom From Religion Foundation wrote a letter to Walker asking him to delete the message, which read simply, “Philippians 4:13,” from his official Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The popular New Testament Bible verse reads, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

“We’re waiting to hear from [the governor],” Freedom From Religion Foundation co-president Dan Barker told TheBlaze Wednesday.

Philippians 4:13

If Walker refuses to remove the verse, Barker said his organization will explore its options, including possible legal action.

“A lawsuit is always a possibility,” he said. “We can’t take every lawsuit and you can’t talk about lawsuits too early because there’s too many factors.”

Barker said he’s most concerned with the notion that Walker used his government position to promote his Christian worldview.

While the Freedom From Religion Foundation disagrees with the placement of the verse on Walker’s social media accounts, Barker told TheBlaze that the governor is free to express his religious views, so long as he publishes or utters faith-based statements outside of his official capacity.

“We don’t want to limit his religious freedom either, but he represents all of us,” said Barker, who lives in Wisconsin.

If indeed Walker says the verse was personal and not sent from a government device, Barker said his organization will investigate and, if it checks out, the situation might simply be settled, though he offered no guarantees.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation also published a statement on its website Tuesday in which Barker and his fellow co-president and wife Annie Laurie Gaylor said the Bible-based message “seems more like a threat, or the utterance of a theocratic dictator, than of a duly elected civil servant.”

Calls to Walker’s press office for comment were not returned.

Christians’ Throats Slit in Pagan Slaughterhouse

EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED: The videos linked and embedded in this story are extremely graphic, showing brutal executions, and the bodies of those killed in those executions.

After exposing videos of “ritual human sacrifices” of Christians by Muslims, a former Palestinian Liberation Organization member-turned-Christian has discovered a new set of shocking videos that show human slaughterhouses in which non-Muslims are executed.

The videos, posted by Walid Shoebat, and his son, Theodore Shoebat, are horrific, showing heads neatly lined up against a wall and bodies suspended by their feet in a room.

Also shown is the testimony of a witness who was threatened with being “sacrificed.”

“I have never seen something like this,” Shoebat told WND. “I have been investigating this story for the past two weeks. The story is probably the most horrific I have ever [done]. It proves with footage actual systematic [sl]aughterhouses of human beings, including Christians in Syria.”

The witness video, translated by Shoebat’s organization, Rescue Christians, includes the testimony of Saif Al-Adlubi, who inexplicably was identified for “sacrifice” but then not killed before government soldiers arrived.

“This is the reality of Islam, it is a pagan and utterly depraved and sadistic religion. It takes the soul of a man and purges any remnants of human affection from his very being. Look to your own soul, and understand your own obligation to help the Christians,” Shoebat said.

Al-Adlubi reported witnessing Armenians who were waiting their turn to be slaughtered.

An “Egyptian butcher … grabbed the neck of one elderly Armenian Christian,” Al-Adlubi said.

He said the executioner then said, “You’re an aged man and your neck is soft and I don’t have to sharpen my knife for you.”

The report blames the “gruesome systematic human extermination centers” of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIS, a radical Islamic organization in Syria and the Middle East.

Al-Adlubi is described in the report as a Muslim fundamentalist who joined the Free Syrian Army and was a militant and a media agent for FSA. He was captured but later “made it out when the Syrian militia” defeated the rebels in that location.

Al-Adlubi said he was called a heathen, “kafir,” and he responded, “How could I be considered kafir if I pray and fast?”

“You are ‘murtad’ (apostate),” he was told.

“I asked him, what is my destiny. I want to get a closure. What is it, a year two years in prison?” Al-Adlubi said.

He said he was told, “Rejoice, you will be sacrificed.”

Al-Adlubi reported seeing “bodies of young men who were systematically slaughtered and disemboweled.”

“The slaughterhouse was on a hill. It is secluded and is void of any homes nearby,” he said. “I witnessed lifeless bodies hanging upside down as if they were slaughtered sheep. In the center of the slaughterhouse is a huge Egyptian about two meters high. He was the one doing the slaughtering.”

Editor’s Note: EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED: The videos linked and embedded in this story are extremely graphic, showing brutal executions, and the bodies of those killed in those executions.

The interview:

Shoebat said several Arabic language news sources, Alwatan, AlJazeera and Mufaker, corroborated some of the details.

Reported Shoebat: “The prison centers where the ISIS (Da’ish) controls have become miniatures of what was during the Nazi SS extermination camps, except the ISIS carries out the extermination in a much more horrific way. Da’ish transforms the prisons into kangaroo courts with systematic slaughterhouses and killing centers to exterminate Christians and Muslims who disagree with the Takfiri ideology. Once they are found guilty, the way they deal with the victims was as if they were cattle.”

He said a Syrian Christian named Kamil Toume also confirmed the reports, with video, purportedly of the Siba district slaughterhouse in Homs, Syria.

Editor’s Note: EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED: The videos linked and embedded in this story are extremely graphic, showing brutal executions, and the bodies of those killed in those executions.

In an interview, Toume brought additional information, Shoebat reported.

“You never heard of Umm Muhammad slaughterhouse?” Toume asked.

Additional footage shows two slaughterhouses, one in Bayyada and the other, from several years ago, in Al-Siba.

Al-Adlubi said the victims included Armenian and Syrian Christians along with Shiite and Sunni Muslims.

Said Walid Shoebat: “The stories told by Al-Adlubi and Toume add up. Toume sent us some footage that circulated the Syrian community after the human slaughterhouse finally ended, and the ugly remaining evidence was revealed when Umm Muhammad’s slaughterhouse in the Siba’ district in Homs was busted by Syrian police three years ago in August 2011.”

Shoebat said Al-Adlubi’s story “also checks out from footage obtained from Al-Bayyada, another slaughterhouse, which Rescue Christians was able to obtain footage from.”

“And just as Al-Adlubi stated, they were hanging upside down, headless, like slaughtered sheep. The heads were removed from the root of the chest cavity just as Al-Adlubi stated when describing how the Egyptian was doing his meticulous methods and how Toume described the Umm-Muhammad slaughterhouse in Al-Siba’ district.”

Video from the Al-Bayyada slaughterhouse:

Editor’s Note: EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED: The videos linked and embedded in this story are extremely graphic, showing brutal executions, and the bodies of those killed in those executions.

“We report this story because of the silence on the systematic killing of Christians, Shiite minorities and even Sunni Muslims in Syria who disagree with the Takfirist theology. The story is reminiscent to the initial reporting on the extermination of European Jewry and other minorities when little coverage was given to the truth in these days,” Shoebat said.

WND reported last week Shoebat had uncovered videos showing Muslims conducting “ritual human sacrifices” by slitting the throats of their victims or putting a bullet in their heads.

Shoebat noted the speaker in one video uses the term Qurban just before gunfire erupts and men lined up in a row fall to the floor one by one. Shoebat explained that the Arabic term “can only signify a sacrifice, which indicates that the filmed slaughter is nothing but a ritual human sacrifice.”

Another video shows the throat of the “sacrifice” being slit with a knife.

“Christians are being killed in these very rituals every day, and the bloodshed will not stop. We must work together to rescue them,” Shoebat said.

Shoebat describes himself as a former “radicalized Muslim willing to die for the cause of jihad.”

According to his biography, he arrived in the United States in 1978 to study in Chicago where he was recruited at a “terror conference” by Jamal Said, the founder of the Islamic Association of Palestine, a front group for Hamas that later launched the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Shoebat said he converted to Christianity in 1994. He now is raising funds to assist Middle East Christians through a foundation he created called RescueChristians.org.

WND recently reported that Sister Hatune Dogan claimed members of the jihadist factions in Syria trying to oust President Bashar al-Assad are draining the blood of Christians they behead and selling vials to Islamic radicals for $100,000 apiece.

The Christians, she said, are beheaded in ceremonies in which they are forced to kneel, with their hands and feet bound as the Muslim radicals read a death sentence imposed because the victim refuses to renounce Christianity and embrace Islam.

WND also has reported that the ISIS, considered to be the most ruthless of the Sunni Islamic militant groups fighting in Syria, has ordered a Christian community in Raqqa, Syria, to pay nearly 38 pounds of gold as a “guarantee of their safety.” The alternative offered was death.

The videos discovered by Shoebat are graphic.

New Form of GMO Sneaking Into Food Supply This Year

Within 50 years we could have more life forms invented in a lab than we have ever identified in nature.” – Fidelity Investments

This year [Evolva] will release a product that has been created by genetically modified yeast that converts sugars to vanillin. It will be the first major synthetic-biology food additive to hit supermarkets.” – Nature.com

A Switzerland based company called Evolva has developed a synthetic vanilla that is set to be released in 2014. The vanilla is created using a process of genetic engineering called synthetic biology.

Synthetic biology, according to a 2005 European Commission paper is “…the engineering of biology… the synthesis of complex, biologically based (or inspired) systems which display functions that do not exist in nature.” Unlike the older science of splicing genes from different species together, synthetic biology is seeking to create whole new organisms that do not exist on earth.

Evolva’s synthetic vanilla is created by inserting computer coded DNA into yeast. This new method of genetic engineering is called “natural” by Evolva.

Environmental organizations like Friends of the Earth have recognized the potential danger posed by synthetic biology. In its Synthetic Biology Vanillin fact sheet, FoE points out the distinct lack of oversight regarding the health impact of ingesting these engineered ingredients. The organization has launched a campaign called No Synbio Vanilla to tell ice cream makers Haagen Dazs, Dreyers, Baskin Robbins and others not to use synthetic biology vanilla.

Foods that have been genetically modified in the “traditional” method have been linked to sterilityin hamsters. The dramatic rise in food allergies has also been speculated to be linked to GMO foods. What health impacts will emerge after eating foods with synthetic DNA that our environment and our bodies have never before encountered?

The Big Picture

Synthetic biology goes well beyond engineering our food. Geneticist Craig Venter is a pioneer in the field of synthetic biology. In 2010 the media hailed his team’s success in creating “the first self-replicating species we’ve had on the planet whose parent is a computer.”

Currently, companies cannot patent naturally occuring DNA. Synthetic biology will allow syn-bio companies a loophole through patent laws. “One could theoretically upload a DNA sequence onto a computer, “print out” an exact copy of that DNA sequence, and patent the synthetic DNA sequence as an invention,” Gene Watch reports.

Google founder Larry Page met with Craig Venter in California at the Edge billionaires meeting in 2010. Also present were representatives from the State department, Bill Gates, Anne Wojcicki, Bill Joy and dozens of other tech company CEO’s and scientists.

The Edge Billionaire meetings have discussed the future of genetic engineering, biocomputation and re-designing humanity in a transhumanist era. Physicist Freeman Dyson described the individuals leading this group as having god-like power to create entirely new species on earth in a “New Age of Wonder”. He describes them as:

“…a new generation of artists, writing genomes as fluently as Blake and Byron wrote verses, might create an abundance of new flowers and fruit and trees and birds to enrich the ecology of our planet.”

In the societal divide that will inevitably ensue over the development of these technologies, Fred Charles Ikle, Undersecretary of Defense for Policy under President Reagan, sees a possibility of “Annihilation from Within.” “The prospect is that in the decades ahead, biotechnology – together with other sciences – may fundamentally change the human species and thus pose an elemental threat to democracy, the world order, and indeed to all civilizations,” writes Ikle.

The technological elite are engaged in a mission to attain full spectrum dominance over life and its complex processes, and in the process re-write the genetic code of the planet.

Michelle’s Latest Nutrition Claims Are Pretty Hard To Swallow

Michelle Obama seems to always be in the proximity of a camera as she touts the supposed benefits of her “Let’s Move” campaign and her support of associated dietary restrictions.

Though unpopular when compared to her recent Republican counterparts, the first lady still enjoys an approval rate far higher than that of her husband. For that reason, it is understandable that a sycophantic press devotes much of its White House coverage to her social activism.

In attempting to make the case for her anti-obesity campaign, however, reports suggest Michelle cited a dubious study showing the supposed benefits of her intrusive policy initiatives.

According to Reuters, the first lady embraced a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report showing that obesity among preschool kids had dropped by a staggering 43 percent over the past decade. The only problem, however, is the fact that no other experts came to anything close to the same conclusion.

Subsequent studies of the associated data indicate that the study’s results were at best an anomaly that bears no resemblance to reality. In fact, the work of other researchers has shown the obesity rate among this age group has actually risen during the last 10 years.

When viewed in the context of numerous contradictory studies, Michelle Obama’s reliance on one favorable report strikes many as disingenuous.

According to Massachusetts General Hospital Weight Center Director Dr. Lee Kaplan, individuals “need to have a healthy degree of skepticism about the validity of this finding.”

Albert Einstein College of Medicine epidemiologist Geoffrey Kabat explained that the small sample size used in the study gives rise to the distinct possibility of “chance fluctuations.”

The CDC itself ceded that fact, issuing an exceptionally large margin of error along with its findings. Kabat concluded that an increase in obesity could not be ruled out using the statistical information provided. Furthermore, the study’s lead author is reportedly declining interviews and has released a statement admitting the potentially misleading results of a study using such a small sample of participants.

Experts across the nation have reported, at best, modest declines in obesity rates among young children. There has also been precious little information suggesting any legitimate change in behavior among preschoolers.

Nevertheless, Michelle Obama used this specific study in an attempt to legitimize her call for more government intrusion into the nutritional choices of ostensibly free Americans. In pursuit of her specious goal, she is apparently not bound by the confines of reliability.

Christians Must Become Militant If They Are To Survive

(Walid Shoebat) — If Christians are to survive, they are going to have to become militant, rather than relying on the watered down secular Conservative Movement.

The Conservative Movement is becoming a cult. It has become a group that accepts only a number of morals from Christianity, while being either indifferent or sometimes vindictive toward the theology and spirituality of Christianity, reducing the entire system of Christ to a mere private and individual belief. Allow me to lend you an example of what I mean.

In a rally organized by the Mormon, Glenn Beck, in which Beck promoted the heresy of Universalism, numerous pastors attended as supporters of the cause for which the event stood. Of these pastors was Jerry Falwell, Jr., and when he was asked in regards to the theological differences his Faith had with Beck’s, Jerry responded with these dangerously accepted words:

Glenn Beck’s Mormon faith is irrelevant. People of all faiths, all races and all creeds spoke and attended the event. Nobody was there to endorse anyone else’s faith, but we were all there to honor our armed forces and to call the people of America to restore honor.

Jerry belittled the heresies which Beck preached, esteeming the rally as simply one to “restore honor” in the country, without even admitting the dangerous ideas that the Mormon promoted, which can be easily identified in this video:

While Jerry claims he just wants to help “restore honor,” he illustrates the worst lack of honor: an absence of honor towards God, as he harlots himself to the false god of Beck, which is the same as the feigned deity of Muhammad. Jerry, and the rest of the pastors who attended the event, praised a Mormon and disregarded orthodox theology, are no different than Rob Bell who, in this video, is seen welcoming and clapping his hands to both the Islamic religion and the Dalai Lama:

The only difference between Bell and his ilk, and Beck and those like him, is that one is obviously and blatantly evil, while the latter is cloaked with a conservative and clean cut look, and comes with societally accepted words of patriotism and feigned piety.

Herein lies the central creed of the Conservative Movement: believe in a god (doesn’t matter which one); say you are pro-life (while being indifferent to contraception, which prevents, and with some products, destroys life); say you are for traditional marriage, while trumping the freedom for homosexuals to indulge in their deviant acts (as long as it is within the privacy of their own home, of course); say you believe in tolerance for all faiths because that is “what the Founding Fathers wanted.”

I may have missed something in the description of the secular creed (and if I did, forgive me), but these tenets are, overall, what the Conservative Movement is composed of. One great example of this is Ted Cruz exhorting Obama to combat Putin’s anti-homosexual laws, as you can see in this video I made:

If Ted is truly the Christian he says he is, he would not be calling out for the rights and freedoms of blaspheming rock bands like Pussy Riot and sodomites.

The positive aspect of the Conservative Movement is that it contains some Christian morality, but its negative nature is illustrated by its utter lack of fastidiousness toward orthodox theology.

If theology truly is irrelevant, then by this same logic the theology of Obama, with all its support and sympathies toward Islam, should be equally irrelevant.

With that said, the main aspect of the Conservative Movement that is destructive, is that it forces a number of Christian morals into a political sphere, and deems the whole of Christianity to an individual’s own spirituality and interpretation, without ever conceding, or wanting to concede, that Christianity itself is political.

Christianity is not a Faith designed for private belief, but for the universal expansion of God’s truth with the intent of vanquishing the lies of Satan.

The Spirit of Christianity, is revolution. When Nebuchadnezzar demanded that the people of God bow down to the golden image, they expressed their revolt by refusing to comply; when Mordecai was expected to supplicate towards Haman, he outrightly spurned such a thought; and when Antiochus commanded that the Hebrews make sacrifices to Jupiter, the Maccabees took up their swords and fought hand to hand and blade to blade.

If Christians are going to survive, not only will we have to become militant, but we will have to cooperate in rescuing persecuted Christians from being massacred by Muslims throughout the Islamic world. Please donate to save Christian lives in Syria, Iraq, and Pakistan.

Christianity permeates every aspect of society, in politics, family life, arts, music, literature, and war.

When St. Peter struck off the ear of the guard, Christ commanded him to “Put up thy sword into the sheath” (John 18:11), which indicates that the sword was never discarded, but that it remained within the grasp of the Church. St. Peter was reprimanded by Christ, not for the use of the sword itself, but because it was not the appropriate occasion to execute his weapon, for Christ told him, “the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?” (John 18:11). Christ, then, allowed Himself to be killed and did not desire that the zeal of Peter hinder His ultimate mission.

St. Peter attacking the guard

St. Peter attacking the guard

There is, therefore, an appropriate time for the Church to unsheathe the sword that St. Peter possessed. This leads us to the theology of The Two Swords of St. Peter, a doctrine long forgotten today, but strongly emphasized in the ancient Church. The concept is centrally based on Luke 22, when Jesus tells His disciples, “he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one,” and St. Peter responds, “Lord, behold, here are two swords”, and Jesus says, “It is enough.”

One sword represents the temporal, or political power of the Church, and the other signifies the spiritual authority of the Church. When St. Peter declared the final decision in the Council of Jerusalem, condemning obligatory circumcision, as is recorded in Acts 15, he was unsheathing his spiritual sword against the Judaizers.

St. Peter with sword

St. Peter with sword

When St. Peter affirmed that “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29), he was unsheathing the political sword, in that he commanded defiance toward the political power of the Jewish leaders when they were attempting to prevent the Christians from preaching. When St. Peter was upholding this authority, he was zealously following what Christ commanded specifically of him:

strengthen your brethren. (Luke 22:32)

And in strengthening his brethren, he was fortifying them against Satan, protecting them from the dark powers through the two swords.

The Last Supper

The Last Supper

St. Peter struck off the ear of the guard with the political sword, and yet it was not discarded but still remained in his sheath. Therefore, the political sword remains in the hands of the Church. But when Christ reprimanded St. Peter for his use of the sword, it was an indication that the Church was not designed to be a central government, or the only political authority ruling over nations and punishing evil doers. Therefore, while the Church is in possession of the political sword, she does not strike her enemies herself, but commands temporal rulers to use it against her persecutors. Thus St. Bernard writes to the Church:

Both [swords] are yours, but both must not be taken out by your hand (1)

St. Bernard furthermore declares to the Church:

The material sword has to be taken out by the hand of the soldier at the command of the emperor but subject to the nod of the supreme priest. (2)

St. Bernard

St. Bernard

In the necessity of a holy war, against heretics and pagans who are persecuting Christians, it is the Church that uses the state as a vehicle to unleash the political sword on God’s enemies.

We see this illustrated in the prophet Samuel when he commanded king Saul:

Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey. (I Samuel 15:3)

We also see this in the Church, when Pope Callixtus III commanded a crusade in 1456 to fight off the Turks in Serbia, in what is called The Siege of Belgrade.

Now, this is not to say that the only ones with authority to fight against persecutors are government rulers. In times when the enemies of the Church are slaughtering Christians and there is no government righteous enough to help them, then in such a circumstance the Church may execute the political sword.

For Elijah gave this command to the people of Israel, and not the corrupt government of Ahab:

“Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.” (I Kings 18:40)

Elijah killing the prophets of Baal

Elijah killing the prophets of Baal

And the earliest Christians were ready to stone the guards if they arrested St. Peter and the other Apostles with violence:

Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned. (Acts 5:26)

Mattathias, the father of Judas Maccabeus, was a priest, and he did not hesitate to unsheathe his sword and slay the soldiers of Antiochus when they were forcing the people to worship their idols.

Moses slew the Egyptian who was abusing a Hebrew, an action St. Stephen esteemed to be one of justice, saying,

seeing one of them suffer wrong, he [Moses] defended and avenged him who was oppressed, and struck down the Egyptian. For he supposed that his brethren would have understood that God would deliver them by his hand, but they did not understand. (Acts 7:24-25)

Therefore, if Moses and Mattathias attacked their persecutors to protect themselves, then the Church has the same authority to protect herself.

St. Stephen

St. Stephen

In Christianity, there is not an absolute severing of Church from state, but rather a perfect harmony between the two. It is the state’s duty to resolve secular and political matters, while the Church is commissioned to deal with spiritual issues. But here is when the two entities come into harmony: when a political matter pertains to the spiritual well-being of the people, or is connected to any point of religion, it is the Church, and not the state, that has the authority to resolve it. Hence Christ commands St. Peter, the bearer of the two swords, to “Feed My sheep” (John 21:17), meaning to care for his flock, spiritually and temporally (when the temporal situation pertains to religion).

You may disagree with me, but the strength of your contention is easily revealed once it is put against the modern results of secular government (abortion, the homosexual agenda, etc). For in our times, it is the state, and not the Church, that dictates when life begins; it is the state, and not the Church, that determines what is and what is not marriage. I can give a number of more examples, but I will refrain for the sake of brevity.

St. Gregory VII beautifully explains this equilibrium between Church and state, when he wrote in one epistle:

Among other welcome expressions therein, this seemed especially calculated to advance the glory of the imperial government and also to strengthen the power of Holy Church, namely, that the empire and the priesthood should be bound together in harmonious union. For, as the human body is guided by two eyes for its physical illumination, so the body of Christ is guided and enlightened with spiritual light when these two offices work together in the cause of pure religion. (3)

Dante sublimely describes how the Church should direct the state for the purpose of spreading the Light of God throughout the world:

Let Caesar therefore show that reverence towards Peter which a firstborn son should show his father, so that, illumined by the light of paternal grace, he may the more effectively light up the world, over which he has been placed by Him alone who is ruler over all things spiritual and temporal. (4)

As the flesh must be governed by the spirit, so must the state be governed by the Church. The secular Conservative Movement wants us to think that the state must be ruled under a secular, but conservative government, without any acknowledgment toward theology or the nature of the true God. Their logic is the same as affirming that the spirit must be ruled by the flesh.

The secular conservatives will argue that they are not for the state overpowering the Church. But, what they will not admit, is that as the spirit and the flesh will always be in constant war with each other, so will the state and the Church be in continuous combat, ceaselessly fighting until one conquers the other, unless a harmony between the two is established, and the Two Swords of St. Peter are unsheathed against those who wish to enslave the saints and replace the sublime Law of Heaven with the lawlessness of antichrist.

If the Church is going to survive, it must stop cease this harlotry with secularism, and become militant. Christus Vincit!

Some Air Force Cadets So Angry Over What Happened With Bible Verses on Campus They Have Staged a ‘Revolt’

The leader of a church-state separatist group says that there’s a “revolt” underway at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., after officials there removed a Bible verse from a white board outside a cadet’s bedroom door following complaints that its presence was offensive.

Cadets angry over the Air Force Academy’s removal of the verse have since begun posting scripture from the Bible and the Koran on their whiteboards in solidarity, said Mikey Weinstein, president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.

“The Air Force Academy has a revolt on their hands. What are they going to do?” Weinstein told TheBlaze Wednesday.

The Bible battle started after an unnamed cadet placed text from Galatians 2:20 on a whiteboard. It read, “I have been crucified with Christ therefore I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”

Weinstein said 29 cadets and four faculty and staff members — 26 of whom he described as Catholic or Protestant — disagreed with the verse’s presence and reached out to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation to complain. Weinstein then contacted the Air Force Academy with concerns and the verse was subsequently removed.

“Had it been in his room — not a problem. It’s not about the belief. It’s about the time, the place and the manner,” Weinstein told conservative commentator Todd Starnes this week. “It clearly elevated one religious faith over all others at an already virulently hyper-fundamentalist Christian institution. It massively poured fundamentalist Christian gasoline on an already raging out-of-control conflagration of fundamentalist Christian tyranny, exceptionalism and supremacy at [the academy].”

Weinstein said posting verses outside a bedroom door is unacceptable and illegal because that’s part of the “working squadron area” — a central and public location where cadets assemble.

But it seems some at the academy disagreed with both the removal and with the activist’s assessment of the situation.

Weinstein shared an email with TheBlaze he said came from an unnamed agnostic cadet at the school highlighting the action that’s now underway.

“After the Fox News article was released about the Bible verse being removed from a cadet’s whiteboard, a population of the cadet wing has in turn responded with addition religious quotes placed outside their doors in the public hallways; one of which being the original quote that was removed,” the cadet’s alleged letter read.

It continued, “Theses posts, quotes, and comments on social media have created a hostile environment and have lead to a decrease in unit cohesion and morale and are unprofessional in the military environment.”

Weinstein is now calling on the Air Force Academy to take action against those individuals who are posting scripture messages outside their doors, though he indicated that he isn’t sure how widespread the problem is.

“It’s a toxic environment there,” Weinstein said of the academy. “When you have a law that is followed more in its breach than in its compliance … it’s worse than if you didn’t have the law at all.”

Weinstein cited an Air Force culture standards document which outlines how faith and religion should be handled within the Air Force.

2.11. Government Neutrality Regarding Religion. Leaders at all levels must balance constitutional protections for an individual’s free exercise of religion or other personal beliefs and the constitutional prohibition against governmental establishment of religion. For example, they must avoid the actual or apparent use of their position to promote their personal religious beliefs to their subordinates or to extend preferential treatment for any religion. Commanders or supervisors who engage in such behavior may cause members to doubt their impartiality and objectivity. The potential result is a degradation of the unit’s morale, good order, and discipline. Airmen, especially commanders and supervisors, must ensure that in exercising their right of religious free expression, they do not degrade morale, good order, and discipline in the Air Force or degrade the trust and confidence that the public has in the United States Air Force.

Weinstein said those who put Bible verses on their doors deserve “non-judicial punishment at the very least.”

Those who are put on trial for specific violations in the Air Force could see their pay docked, be kicked out or even go to jail, he said, though there is no indication that these ramifications would apply in this particular case.

Weinstein is willing to take the Air Force Academy to court if the issue isn’t resolved.

Air Force Academy spokesman Lt. Col. Brus Vidal told Starnes regarding officials’ removal of the first cadet’s verse, there was no misconduct and that the unnamed cadet won’t be punished.

He said there’s a “gray area” when it comes to one’s personal room and the hallway, where the message was posted.

“The whiteboards are for both official and personal use, but when a concern was raised we addressed it and the comment was taken down,” Vidal said.

Weinstein disagreed, saying that the incident showed “absolute misconduct” and that the individual should be punished.

Other legal analysts take a different stance on the matter.

“If the cadet didn’t violate any rules, then why was the quote removed?” Michael Berry, senior counsel for the conservative legal firm the Liberty Institute’s said in a statement. “It appears that the Air Force now believes Bible verses are a violation of AFI 1-1.”

In fact, Berry said the removal of the Bible verse and any punishment is actually a violation of the Department of Defense Instruction 1300.17, a provision that protects soldiers’ religious liberty.

“Unless it could have an adverse impact on military readiness, unit cohesion, and good order and discipline, the Military Departments will accommodate individual expressions of sincerely held beliefs (conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs) of Service members in accordance with the policies and procedures in this instruction…,” the provision states in part.

Air Force Academy officials did not respond to a request for comment from TheBlaze.
