Darrell Issa Says Emails Suggest Elijah Cummings Prompted IRS Targeting of True the Vote

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., has accused the panel’s top Democrat of prompting the Internal Revenue Service in 2012 to target a conservative organization applying for non-profit status.

Issa said records obtained last week from the IRS show communications from the office of ranking member Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., about True the Vote, a Texas-based, non-profit conservative group that aims to prevent voter fraud.

The communications at one point involved Lois Lerner, the ex-IRS official whom Issa’s panel is poised to hold in contempt of Congress on Thursday for refusing to provide testimony about her involvement in targeting conservative groups.

“The IRS and the Oversight Minority made numerous requests for virtually identical information from True the Vote, raising concerns that the IRS improperly shared protected taxpayer information with Rep. Cummings’ staff,” a statement from the Oversight panel reads.

According to Issa, Cummings and his staff sought “copies of all training materials used for volunteers, affiliates, or other entities,” from True the Vote.

Five days after the Cummings inquiry, the IRS sent True the Vote an email requesting “a copy of [True the Vote’s] volunteer registration form,” “… the process you use to assign volunteers,” “how you keep your volunteers in teams,” and “how your volunteers are deployed … following the training they receive by you.”

Issa said Cummings and his office asked for more information in January 2013 about True the Vote, this time getting Lerner involved.

At one point, an email revealed, Lerner asked her deputy, “Did we find anything?”

When the deputy said she had not received any new information, Lerner responded, “thanks – check tomorrow please.”

Issa said Cummings had previously denied asking the IRS about True the Vote.

At a February subcommittee hearing, when Issa asked whether his office may have put True the Vote “on the radar screen” of the IRS, Cummings said the accusation was “absolutely incorrect and untrue.”

Issa and other GOP panel members have sent a letter to Cummings, asking him to respond to the newly uncovered emails.

In his response, Cummings said the GOP has falsely accused him of wrongly contacting the IRS about True the Vote. Cummings said in the letter that he has publicly stated his interest in finding more about True the Vote, which supports voter ID laws that Cummings opposes.

Cummings said in his letter that his inquiries were appropriate and did not violate any rules. His requests, Cummings added, were for publicly available information.

Cummings said the letter from Issa and others Republicans is “a desperate attempt to shift the focus on tomorrow’s contempt vote away from the serious Constitutional deficiencies in these proceedings.”

SHOCK CLAIM: Obama Used the IRS to Steal the 2012 Election

In the early days of the IRS scandal, charges were leveled by conservatives—and some moderates—that the Tea Party was targeted in order to steal the 2012 presidential election. With the two mammoth House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform reports released recently, containing hundreds of emails of Lois Lerner and her cronies plotting the take down of the Tea Party—a force that almost singlehandedly regained the House of Representatives for Republicans in 2010—that is exactly what it looks like happened. Now with the massive voter fraud discovered that took place during the 2012 election—a million invalid votes just in North Carolina—one fact remains crystal clear: Barack Hussein Obama stole the 2012 election.

IRS Agents’ Testimony: NO Progressive Groups Were Targeted by IRS

IRS agents testified before Congress that the agency’s political targeting did not apply to progressive groups as Democrats and the media have claimed, according to a bombshell new staff report prepared by the House Oversight Committee chairman, Rep. Darrell Issa.

IRS agents testified before Oversight that ACORN groups were scrutinized because the agency thought they were old organizations applying as new ones. Emerge America was scrutinized for potential “improper private benefit.” No evidence exists that the IRS requested additional information from any Occupy Wall Street group.

“Only seven applications in the IRS backlog contained the word ‘progressive,’ all of which were then approved by the IRS, while Tea Party groups received unprecedented review and experienced years-long delays. While some liberal-oriented groups were singled out for scrutiny, evidence shows it was due to non-political reasons,” according to the Oversight staff report, which was obtained by The Daily Caller.

“[T]he Administration and congressional Democrats have seized upon the notion that the IRS’s targeting was not just limited to conservative applicants,” the report states. “These Democratic claims are flat-out wrong and have no basis in any thorough examination of the facts.  Yet, the Administration’s chief defenders continue to make these assertions in a concerted effort to deflect and distract from the truth about the IRS’s targeting of tax-exempt applicants.”

“[T]here is simply no evidence that any liberal or progressive group received enhanced scrutiny because its application reflected the organization’s political views,” the report stated.

IRS Tea Party Targeting Leads Directly To Obama

According to a new report issued by the congressional Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, it was high-level IRS staffers based in Washington and not “rogue” IRS agents in Cincinnati that targeted Tea Party groups. According to dozens of emails released by the report, Lois Lerner and literally dozens of upper level employees of the IRS not only knew about the targeting of conservative groups, but directed it. Lerner, in one email, even went so far as to call Tea Party groups “very dangerous.”

In other words, the targeting of Tea Party groups was orchestrated from Washington—literally a walking distance from the Oval Office.

Are we to believe Obama was not involved—being only steps away—when he repeatedly criticized the Tea Party, identifying them as his enemies, calling them Tea Baggers?

But here is the key to the coverup:

Obama directed the IRS to attack the Tea Party in order to affect the 2012 election. More than likely, if the Tea Party had not been weakened, Barack Hussein Obama would not be President of the United States today.

Muslim Convicted of Aiding Anwar al-Awlaki Associate and Terror Suspect, Now Works for IRS

On Today’s Barrack show…

Former IRS official Lois Lerner granted an interview to the Department of Justice in the last six months but has twice refused to tell the House Oversight Committee what she knows. Why would Lerner talk to the one entity that can prosecute her and refuse to talk to the one entity that cannot? The answer is that the DOJ has no interest in holding her accountable while the House Committee has limited options; that doesn’t mean it hasn’t any at all.

In fact, Lerner can be put behind bars without the DOJ but it will require the efforts of three men. Who are they?

Another disturbing reality within the IRS has reared its head. Investors Business Daily reported that an al-Qaeda spy named Mohammad Weiss Rasool, who was actually convicted for his crime, now works for the IRS as a financial management analyst for the deputy IRS chief financial officer:

Rasool at first claimed he didn’t know the terrorist target. He confessed only after hearing a recording of his message for the suspect, Abdullah Alnoshan, a close associate of al-Qaida cleric Anwar Awlaki, who had helped some of the 9/11 hijackers in Fairfax County, Va.

Rasool finally pleaded guilty to illegally searching a federal database.

Muslim convicted of aiding associate of Al-Awlaki now works at IRS.

Today, Rasool is a financial management analyst for the Deputy IRS Chief Financial Officer. While the Fort Hood shooting victims have not been awarded Purple Hearts or deserved benefits because the actions of Nidal Malik Hasan – who was inspired by Awlaki – were deemed to be a case of workplace violence, a man who helped an ally of Awlaki, works at the IRS despite having been convicted.

The Moscow Times reported that Russian troops are actually in Crimea to fight anti-Russian sentiment and Nazis:

Russia will not annex Crimea. It has enough territory already. At the same time, however, it will also not stand by passively while Russophobic and neo-Nazi gangs hold the people of Crimea, Kharkiv and Donetsk at their mercy.

There are a few ironic problems with that assessment; a pro-Russian separatist from Donetsk has a history that includes being a member of a neo-Nazi group. Cliff Kincaid of America’s Survival, explains in an article entitled, “Exposing Putin’s Propaganda” that a Putin adviser named Aleksandr Dugin has ties to neo-Nazism.
